A Weekend in Paris

My aunt Marilyn came into town from Alabama for Samir's party and stayed a few days. We went down to Paris to spend some extra family time since it was Memorial Day weekend. Mom surprised Samir with a swingset she bought from one of her friends. Needless to say, he loved it! We were out sliding for a long time that night :)

Samir and Lily....such a great, patient dog!

Moo Moo, Samir Turned Two!

Our sweet boy turned two this Saturday....my, how time flies! We celebrated at Wild Things Farm with family and friends. It was hot, but an overall success! Here's a few pictures....

Outdoors

Samir is a nut about being outside! These are just a few pictures I've captured of him in action.

Watering the grass.....

.....and my feet!

Showing off some tomato plants

Our little garden is growing!!!

The oh so beautiful hibiscus tree my mom got for us

And of course no outdoor adventure is complete without Samir's sidekick Lily!

Mother's Day

This is the cute little gift Samir made me at daycare.

So it was bubble gun in the picture or no picture at all :)

I picked these beautiful roses from the rose bushes in front of my mom's house. Pretty huh?

What Mother's Day is all about....not gifts, but togetherness.

Just a Catch Up

As many of you know, Samir had little to no hair for a very long time. Recently (as in within the past two months) his hair sprouted! He has thick curls, exactly like my dad had. It got so long he was bordering on an afro, so Grandma gave him a haircut. I didn't think to take a before picture, but here's an after :)

It rained for most of the month here, but alas, that will not keep Samir from going outside. Good thing we have rain gear.

We go to prime time story time at the library once a month. Samir loves it and I have to admit, I like it too! When school's out we will be able to go to the regular story time during the week. This is Samir working on his craft after story time.

This day, we went to Chick-fil-a for our usual Saturday lunch. Little did we know, it was princess day! Samir still had fun, but he was not about to sit on this horse! Petting it was good enough for him.

Samir and his papaw :)

Samir at School

One of Samir's teachers recently passed some pictures she had taken of Samir onto me. I just love to see Samir having fun at school!

Apparently her and Samir were having a screaming contest....something tells me he probably won :)

Samir flips this toy over and pretends that it's a weed eater!

I love how my goose is hamming it up for the camera while the others are oblivious!

"Whatcha got there?"

Samir and his friend Kate. How cute are those two?
