The Big Three

Our sweet boy turned three years old today! It seems like just yesterday we brought him home from the hospital; in fact, I can remember that day very well. We got home and Sama was intent on showing off Samir to his family in Morocco. So he's busy trying to get the computer and camera set up and Samir starts screaming. No, not crying, but screaming like something was terribly, horribly wrong. So after I go through all the soothing things, change his diaper and try to feed him, I begin to assume something must be wrong. At this point, I start crying and Sama comes with the laptop with his family connected to see a screaming baby and a bawling mom....not exactly the plan! He picks Samir up and Samir instantly stops, which makes me cry more because then I realize the problem must have just been ME. Oh what a day!
Since then, Samir has definitely given us plenty of ups and downs, but I sure wouldn't change a one of them. It's so crazy to look back at how much he has changed. Happy birthday to our sweet goosey!



I got Samir a small cake for home
so he would have something on his
actual birthday. His party isn't until
Tuesday.
