Summer Fun List

Some blogs that I follow have mentioned Summer Bucket Lists. We all know how I love a good list, so of course I had to make one! It also really helps me stick to a plan. Obviously this summer, Art 101 will not happen every day like it did last summer. I know things are going to change a LOT when Karim arrives, but I still am really goign to strive to keep Samir's life as close to normal as possible. So we made a list of things we can do together, or with Karim tagging along. Check it out! I made the whole thing for under $20 (thank you, Hobby Lobby half off sales). And yes, some of my paper strips are not even and yes, there are some extra marks on the glass. That's what happens when a three year old is your work partner and I am perfectly okay with that!

And here's some of the things we've managed to mark off our list: picking strawberries, riding the train and swimming (see previous posts for pics of those). More recently......

Catching lightning bugs. I loved to
do this when I was a kid and was
more than delighted when I
discovered I still had my skills! Samir
was mesmerized by them and didn't
want to go to bed tonight. Oops.

Making bouncy balls. We used a kit from the craft
store. I've done this before with my teenage students
and I have to say, Samir was about as messsy as they
were!
