Another holiday, another reason for us to make some treats! It's Easter, so of course we had to dye some eggs.
Our next task was to make birds in nests. I had saw this somewhere in a magazine or on the internet, but for the life of me I could not find it again. Here's our version.... Melt chocolate and mix it with shredded coconut. Mush this into some VERY well sprayed cupcake pans, leaving a well in the middle (like a nest). Pop this in the fridge long enough to harden.
Carefully remove the nests from the cupcake pan. Add some egg candy (we used the malted eggs) and sit a Peep marshmallow duck on top.
Voila! A bird in a nest!
